According to cnn.com, Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki and Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga have signed a 4 part peace agreement to restore peace in Kenya. At this time the Kenyan Red Cross says the violence has claimed at least 863 lives and driven 261,000 from their homes since incumbent Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki claimed the December 27 election over Odinga.
This peace plan is good news for OasNet, as we are supposed to be sending two small mission teams to Kenya in the first half of 08, one of which I’m leading.
